    TAAB Embedding Resin

    TAAB Embedding Resin

    A resin which has been developed by  TAAB for embedding biological  specimens for Electron Microscopy and Light Microscopy. This is a relatively low viscosity resin which exhibits very good cutting and staining qualities, with freedom from background ‘grain’. The stability under the electron beam is good and the resin readily accepts heavy metal stains. A wide range of harnesses can be obtained by  varying the proportions of the hardeners DDSA and NMA.

    LR White Resin

    LR White ResinLR White is very low viscosity non-toxic resin, suitable for Electron Microscopy and Light Microscopy. LR White is an acrylic resin, can be cured by heat or UV light. Sections of polymerized LR White resin are hydrophylic and  allow immuno-cytochemistry reagents to easily penetrate into the sections. LR White sections also show minimal non-specific staining. Because of the    low viscosity. LR White is suitable for infiltrating decalcified bone or teeth. This single component acrylic monomer is available in soft, medium and hard grades.
