Special Diamond Knives

JUMDI SPECIAL DIAMOND KNIVES have high precision cutting edge, made from selected very high gem-quality natural diamonds. These knives are used for cutting ultrathin sections of biological and non-biological materials for electron microscopy.   

JUMDI SPECIAL DIAMOND KNIVES can cut better ultrathin sections and stay sharp longer than any other knife.  These Diamond knives are available with  cutting edge lengths from 1.0 mm to 4.0 mm. These knives will consistently cut ultra-thin sections from wide selection of biological materials embedded in hard plastic.

BOAT DESIGN: 

JUMDI SPECIAL DIAMOND KNIVES are mounted in a universal holder, will fit in any make of Ultramicrotome. Convenience of working with these knives depends on the "built-in clearance angle". It means that when working with normal embedding the upper edge of the boat is horizontal, which also gives an even light reflection over the total through surface, greatly improving the section collection.  The cylindrical through bottom clears the liquid surface from disturbing light reflections along the central part.  The boat is coated with anti-reflection eloxide coating.  Juniper Ultra Micro, the manufacturer of these fine knives was the first to successfully introduce this type of boat design into the market .

 PERFORMANCE: 
 

• To assure very high quality performance, each knife is inspected many times during polishing process and final high powered optical microscope examination. Once the knife is mounted in its holder, each knife is tested and evaluated by cutting test sections  . 

• Each knife which is offered to our customers is guaranteed of its cutting performance on the highest level.

• Each knife is guaranteed for re-sharpening at least five times, which means long term economy.

• We are able to supply JUMDI SPECIAL DIAMOND KNIVES within 30 – 90 days after an order is received.
