Quantifoils

The Quantifoil carbon support films were developed at the Institute of Physical High Technology, Jena, Germany. They are made from 14-20 nm thick carbon films, which have regular arrays of holes, produced by semiconductor lithographic techniques. Two distinct types are available and feature either square or round holes. Both types are supplied mounted on conventional TEM grids, copper, nickel or gold, 200 or 300 mesh size.
