Cargille Immersion Oils.

Cargille immersion oils are excellent for use in light microscopy, fluorescent microscopy and other applications such as projection equipment. Cargille immersion oils are PCB Free.

There are now four standard types available: The greater the gap between the cover glass and the objective, or condenser and slide, the more desirable a higher viscosity becomes.

Type A : with a viscosity of 150 cSt (centistokes)

Type B: with a viscosity of 1250 cSt

Type NVH: with a viscosity of 21,000 cSt

Type 37: This new type of Cargille Immersion oil has an index of 1.515@ 37ºC. It is very useful, where elevated temperatures are present either by sub-stage illumination    or high wattage projection equipment.

Citifluor Non-fluorescent Immersion Oil

Contains antifadent AF87. It is designed for use at high magnifications. Suitable for preventing the fading of dyes such as DAPI which has a tendency to disperse in glycerol based mounting solutions.
