The vacuum pick-up system is a
very simple method of handling and placing grids, wafers, or other
delicate parts. The unit is comprised of a power pack, a finger
controlled vacuum, air filter and a hand piece. A shaped hypodermic
needle fits onto hand piece and is fine enough to suck only the rim
of the grid.
A set of rubber cups are also
available for handling delicate precision parts or specimens without
risk of damage.

Operation:
Vacuum is created at the tip
by placing the finger over the control hole on the anodized
aluminium vacuum pen. To break the vacuum, simply remove your finger
from the hole.

Pen-Vac™ Vacuum tweezers
The Pen-Vac™ Vacuum tweezers
is ideally suited for EM work and is a very good way to handle
small, flat surface objects. It is excellent for handling grids,
slides, stubs, cover slips etc. This self contained light weight
vacuum fits in a pocket and comes with interchangeable vacuum
probes. The pen length is 139mm, the vacuum probe is 32mm long
with cup.
